2003-2008 | Strategically developed brand identities and marketing materials for mid-sized international companies and small start-up businesses. Services and duties included: brand analysis, brand identity programs including logo design, consumer packaging, web, catalog design and layout, collateral, advertising, photography art direction, copy writing, visual
merchandising. Industries included lifestyle brands in housewares (kitchenware), wineries, gourmet pet food, and skincare.

Responsible for all print, photo and digital art relating to 1000+ SKU's, including 5 sub-brands and licensed brands; packaging, photography, illustration, logo design, consumer and trade advertising, catalog, POS displays, trade and consumer collateral, trade show booths and web. Led a team of 8 in-house designers, production artists, illustrators and photographers as well as contract artists. Managed all overseas and domestic print production. Worked daily with overseas vendors (China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia). Conducted on-site management of special print projects in overseas markets. Managed and maintained all production schedules and creative budgets within the Marketing Department. Responsible for researching and reporting trends related to kitchenware and housewares, food, dining, and preparation to Marketing and Industrial Design teams.
Major creative licensed brands created for: Food & Wine® Magazine and DuPont® SilverStone®.

Developed the creative direction and oversaw production for all aspects of print advertising for regional department store chain operating 38 stores in 6 states, including ROP’s, circulars, in-store signage, direct mail pieces, catalog and web design. Developed and launched new visual brand strategy and deliverables for corporate brand and junior’s departments. Initiated, designed and directed update of consumer website re-launch. Responsible for all new sales' identities. Designed logos for private label fashions and departments. Art directed and oversaw all still (fashion and product) photoshoots in studio and on location. Coordinated all photography scheduling for fashion and product shoots. Hired and scheduled all freelance talent including photographers, stylists (product, fashion, food), hair and makeup, models, as well as secured locations for shoots. Managed and maintained all production schedules and photography budgets. Responsible for reporting competitor and consumer advertising trends in fashion and home products.


GRAPHIC DESIGNER | Sur La Table, Corporate

Designed and produced all layouts for internationally distributed catalog. Edited all still photography and directed all digital color corrections. Designed all in-store signage. Designed sub-brand identities. Assisted in art direction with food stylist and prop stylist on photoshoots. Assisted in color proofing at out-of-state press checks.

Designing digital and print design assets for social media, web, photography and collateral campaigns. Assist Marketing Director in clarifying and executing brand consistency for translation to an ever revolving staff of volunteer personnel/interns in its marketing department including department organization, production scheduling, clearly defined visual brand standards, and strategy. Working with a wide range of personnel both internal and contract in creating consistency across mediums in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
