Two Peas :: New to the Garden :: Got Crazy Silly Straws?

Hi everyone! It's a rainy Spring Tuesday here in CT and my plants are loveing it! I am too! It's feeling like Spring!GG_SillyStraws_LO_AH

I wanted to pop over and show you my project for this week's Garden over at Two Peas in A Bucket, Got Crazy Silly Straws? We Do! My kids love these straws and it seems with each holiday more come into the house. These were a recent Easter gift from my Mom to my kids and they think they are hilarious, particularly my daughter. So I had to snap some pics of them using them, and this one just took the cake for me, because my daughter was all dressed prim and proper for a history project at school with her hair up in braid buns, then she put these straws on to drink her juice. Too cute!

I just LOVE the new Crate Paper Story Teller collection coupled with the Simple Stories, 100% Summer collection, they are SO cute! There's also a few pieces from Note to Self from Echo Park and Take Note from Studio Calico. Such awesome colors and patterns all these collections have!

I'm really loving digging into my 6x6 patterned paper pads lately too for my scrapping. I used to think they really were best for cards, but I am loving having the options of going with smaller versions of the same pattern. Yay! To all the manufacturers that are making these wonderful little pads now!! I love them!

I'm going to wrap this up here, I have a ton to get done and not a ton of time to get it all done in, so I'm off for now!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful day! Oh, and it's Teacher Appreciation week this week - so make sure to thank a teacher for all they do for our children!

American Crafts :: Amy Tangerine Week

AC_AmyTan_JustForYouCard_AhHappy Monday, everyone! This week is Amy Tangerine, Sketchbook week over at the American Crafts blog! I have a couple layouts being shown over there today (see detail sneaks below), plus I have this little card that I wanted to share with you here featuring this beautiful colleciton.

There are several pieces in this collection, that I am not ashamed to say are my favorite pieces EVER in scrapbooking. I am kookoo crazy for the watercolor texture and the vibrant colors are so gorgeous, I just can't get enough! I've made a hefty dent in my stash - I'm sure I'll be re-ordering many of the pieces because I just can't imagine scrapping without some of it!!AC_Street_Detail1_Ah
My favorite colors in this collection is the magenta, turquoise green and orange. They are simply luscious!AC_Yep_ADetail1_AhThe touch of black, grey and white are so fun, too! They really remind me of being a teenager. I remember having a black and magenta, teal and yellow striped room when I was growing up. Fun, fun! Great for scrapping those older kiddos! :D

Thank you so much to everyone who's expressed well wishes for my hand. The good new is, my hand and the stitches feel okay, the bad news is the nerves underneath them is extrememly sensitive and I still have no feeling in my ring finger. It's difficult for me to stretch, reach or pull of open anything with my right hand. It is getting easier to type, but any larger movements are quite difficult. I get my stitches out on Friday and will be discussing seeing the handspecialist at that point. I realy hope surgery won't be in the cards, but we shall wait and see. Thank you again.
That's going to do it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful day, and make sure to check out the American Crafts blog for your chance to win the entire line! :D Good luck!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!! :D

Two Peas Garden Seed :: Our New Tradition + Workshop Winner!

Hi everyone, happy Friday! I thought that I would quickly pop in with a page I made recently for the Two Peas Garden this past week using lots of Basic Grey's Konnichiwa collection. GG_NYBG2012_LO_AH
I have always been a fan of Japanese culture and art, and so this collection has held a special place for me. Though somewhat themed in its overall appearance, the colors are ideal for any spring project. I chose to scrap some beautiful cherry blossoms that we captured during a recent outing to the New York Botanical Gardens in NYC. We went on Easter day, and we decided as long as we are living here in CT, this will be our new family tradition on Easter. It was so incredibly beautiful and just the perfect place to celebrate Spring's arrival.
I got a lot of comments last week about these pinwheels that I featured during our April Gardeners' Digest. I can't take the credit for their creation - they are in the Konnichiwa collection - other than layering them up with a piece of their fabric flowers, also in the colleciton. They are darling, aren't they. They look pretty simple to make....hmmm. I may give those a try! :)
I am so in love with these Prima alphas! Confession time - I bought every.single.set! They are SO versatile and the colors are lush and so on trend! The orange that you see, is the orange you get - the product image on the site makes them look a little yellow, but they are gorgeous! I will be using these time and again - I'm sure you'll notice! :D
Lastly, I also layered up these Pink Paislee, Spring Jubilee mailing tags, which I forgot to link below, underneath my photos, and I think they add so much energy and color, without a lot of effort, which I love. Look at that faux washi on the right, and the doilies on the bottom - ca-ute! I'm not sure why, but I really love this page. At a far, it is pretty unassuming, but up close it's very fun and colorful, just like Spring. :)
And now, the winner of Shannon's new Two Peas Workshop, Sassy Scrapping with Shannon......Congratulations to.....
