Happy (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day! I was so honored to have Wilna ask me to join in on this fun blog hop today! Welcome to my new blog - and if you are new to me or my work - it's great to have you here!
Wilna asked that we share a little about ourselves. Most of my info is here throughout my new website, including my "ABOUT ME" page, but to add a bit more:
I've been on a bit of an on-again, off-again hiatus from working in the scrapbooking industry since January of 2013. But I'm back now in full gear and very, very excited about it! A lot has changed in that short time in the industry, and I'm still trying to get my bearings from that! But one thing hasn't changed - I love to design, work with paper and document my growing family! My daughter is nearly a teenager now (YIKES!) and my son will be going into 4th grade in the fall (I'm telling you life goes by too quickly!). I love the ocean, a great iced latte and flip flops. I'm from the Seattle, WA area but have been living in Connecticut for the past 10 years. Here's a little about me that I'm currently into:
1. Favorite youtube clip: I don't watch a lot of You Tube but I am loving Post Modern
Jukebox, especially stuff like this
2. Listening to: Customized Daniel Merriweather station on Pandora
3. Watching...: The Chef's Table on Netflix
4. Reading...: The Orphan Master's Son by Adam Johnson
5. I can eat this everyday...: Kale & Beet Salad at this place nearby
6. Favorite drink at 4pm: Water with lemon, occasionally an Angry Orchard Hard Cider
7. On my Wishlist...: Nikon 80-200mm camera lens
8. Enjoying... Getting back to work after too long of a delay!
9. Favorite quote right now... "There aren't enough hours in the day!"
10. Smiling about... My son and my daughter's progress this year despite having dealt
with many, many difficult challenges including ADHD diagnosis'
for both, and dyslexia diagnosis' for my son, along with two
intimate deaths in our family within just a couple weeks of each
other. It's been a rough road for them, but they are doing
smashingly and I couldn't be more proud!
My favorite project for this year is...getting my new website up and running finally! If you are new here, take a look! I've got lots of fun stuff in my shop, including lots of Freebies, cut files, hybrid products including a digital version of Urban Autumn with exclusives not previously available, as well as my Garden Girl workshops from Two Peas in A Bucket - Through the Kaleidoscope and Seasonal Storytelling!
Today, I'm introducing a new mini collection available in my shop called "SeaSpray". Inspired by the beach (my favorite place in the world to be!) with a bit of east coast influences as well as west coast nods (for my roots). I'm loving how light and airy it feels - just like when you stand at the edge of the a (gentle) surf on a beautiful day!
This is a quick 9x6" pocket page spread I created using the 3x4' cards in the seaspray collection.
Here is a sample of a 12x12" pocket page using both the 3x4" and 4x6" cards from SEASPRAY.
The collection includes 32, 3x4" hybrid 3x4" cards and 10, 4x6" cards for pocket scrapping, card making or use in layouts.
