Hi friends. Happy Monday. Thank you all for bearing with me last week. It was a very difficult one for me, which I wasn't really prepared for. You think you are doing better, moving forward, and then, you just aren't.
I have lots of feelings, reflections and revelations that have come out of enduring such a large-scale trauma and sometimes I want to spill it all out, and other times, I just have to tell myself, nope, it's just for me and my family and community. Last week was one of those weeks, so thank you for understanding and for all of your kind words. Now, back to happier subjects, I have a project up on the October Afternoon blog today. The jumping off point is "weather". However, you can take that in any direction you like. I put a spin on my "weather" theme, which thoroughly went along with my mood and demeanor last week. To check out my full page, make sure you head over to the October Afternoon blog here.
I also wanted to share a page I created the week prior for the OA sketch challenge post. This is one that I really loved creating and the end result. I was super drawn to this image of my daughter and the windows reflecting her smiling face from the ice skating rink that we went to at the beginning of December. It made the perfect centerpiece to the round "rink" created with patterned paper and lots of machine sewing.
I mixed up lots of Silent Night and Eggnog for this page, and I really love how it turned out. Did you know, both of these collections are currently 25% off! Yep, now thru the 20th, so make sure you head over to Two Peas in a Bucket for those savings!
That's going to wrap things up for me today! I'm hoping to get my December album ready to show here sometime this week. I'm nearly up to date on it, just need to put the details in place and I'll get that up for you to take a look at! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
