Hey everyone! I thought I would pop in and take an opportunity to share some projects I've created for the new CHA-Summer 2013 releases for October Afternoon. Over the next couple weeks, I'll be sharing more projects, along with projects that I've created "for fun" in my on-going journey to get back into scrapping again. These projects in particular have been some of the most fun I've had creating, in a long time. I think it's partly because of the beauty of these new collections, but also just that I'm finding my groove again.
First up is a page I created for a challenge on the OA blog last week, using the new mini-collection Girl Talk from the Daily Flash line of products. I just love how these collections, accommodate both a 12x12" format as well as have all the right-sized elements to create a gorgeous 6x8" mini album, all featured in the Daily Flash line-up. Here's a look at everything in "Girl Talk".
Next up is tied for my favorite from these mini collections, "All Boy". It is the perfect blend of boyish colors and trendy anchors, again with all the pieces for your own favorite type of scrapping. Here I used the collection for this 12x12" layout.
Here's a look at the entire, "All Boy" collection.
For CHA, most of the design team was challenged with using the new 6x8" sleeves that come in a wide range of configurations for some of our projects. This wasn't a stretch for me, as I LOVE this size and format. If you haven't a clue on how to use these types of sleeves, and haven't purchased my Seasonal Storytelling workshop at Two Peas in a Bucket, it may be a great place to start. I use this precise format for my Fall album in the workshop, and I have to say it's one of my favorite projects I've ever created and I am SO THRILLED that October Afternoon is now creating these awesome albums and sleeves!
For this particular spread, I used the new mini collection "Summertime". I am absolutely smitten with the colors and images in this collection. I know it is one that I will reach for time and again!

Last up, is my projects for Public Library. This is sure to be a favorite for all of us with kids headed back to school in a few weeks. Full of wonderful vintage library and reading images as well as whimsical fairy tale images, this collection has just about everything to create a gorgeous school, or everyday page.
And I'm sure most of you are aware, we have two additional collections coming out; Treasure Map and Silent Night. The likes of which I haven't seen in person yet, but am giddy just thinking about and looking forward to working with!
That's going to do it for me today. I'll be back this week with a few more projects along with my 2nd installment of "What I've Learned". Have a wonderful day and a terrific weekend. :)
