So, this morning is the first time in almost 48 hrs that I've been able to get downstairs to my computer to do, anything, and it's because of this lovely ensemble I am now donning. Aint' she a beaut - or a boot!? Well, a boot she is indeed. Wednesday my ankle collapsed as I walked on some uneven pavement, and this is the result - 3+ ligaments torn and heck of a lot of pain. This ankle has given me trouble since school from several turned ankle injuries in basketball, then a severe turning in high school, that landed me in a similar brace. Since then, I've had it collapse several times, once even when I was VERY pregnant with my daughter, but it's never been this bad since the high school one. I'm just hoping it heals on its own and no further intervention is needed. Ugh. What a way to kick off the holidays - getting our tree at the tree farm this weekend, will require - some adaptations I believe! LOL. Oh, well, things could be much worse.
On a brighter note, I thought I'd share some gift boxes I created for the October Afternoon blog this week. If you've followed me over the years, you know I love making origami. These cute little boxes are simple origami boxes with lids (if you do that search on Google, several good tutorials pop up). They are perfect for creating with your 8x8 or 12x12" paper sheets for the holidays. To see all the details on sizes, etc. of these boxes, check out the post on the October Afternoon blog, here.
I can even see making 25 of these little boxes and using them as an advent calendar! So much fun, and so easy to create!
