Hey everyone! It's already Thursday and here in CT and it is feeling like full-on fall here. Cooler temperatures, the leaves are changing color and the days shorter. There's very little transition time between Summer and Fall here, so it's often a bit like whiplash trying to get adjusted. We still need to put the cover on our pool! LOL.
The best part of Fall, for me are the colors. So warm, cozy and inviting. This year there were a lot of great fall collections out there, but I think that Autumn Spice, by Lily Bee Deisgn captures those mulled flavors, smells, textures and temperatures so perfectly that I can see them mixed together for just about any fall-themed project. They really are just beautiful.
This week on the Lily Bee Design blog, we've been featuring projects using Autumn Spice all week and I created a couple cards for this lovely seasonal collection.
For this card, I simply used the negative space from some paper I used to create this layout previously, and trimmed to size so that it would fit my standard A2 card (4.25x5.5"). Then I took my very favorite, daily used wet glue pen, and drew a line around the perimeter of the back of each leaf and used a different paper to fill the leaf sihouette.
Then for this final leaf, I used 3D foam adhesive to pop up the whole panel and give this last little leaf added dimension.
This card is pretty straight forward, but I still think it's fun and I can see it being used for a fall party, can't you? I simply used a Index Journaling card as my center piece and added stitching . . .
along the banner then used buttons and . . .
Autumn Spice ABC stickers for the sentiment.
Make sure you check out all the gorgeous projects the Lily Bee Design Team created for this past week's Autumn Spice Inspiration Week on the blog. There were some really outstanding projects on there! :)
