This is a terribly bittersweet post for me to write. I have had the most wonderful time working on the American Crafts Design Team this past year. I've gotten to know some really wonderful and talented people, and I've created some of my favorite pieces of the entire year from working on this team. I was asked to join again for the next term and was super excited about it. But recently some things came up forced me to make some very diffcult decisions about. With much angst, I decided I needed to let go of my AC position before the term started in hopes that they would be able to fill it prior to the new team getting started. So with that said, this will be my last post for American Crafts as a Design Team member, and I am incredibly sad about it, but also excited for new things to come.
What a wonderful group of super talented ladies this group has been! Just look at all of them! Wow, what a talent pool!
For our blog hop today, we were asked to pick out our favorite project(s) from this past year. As I mentioned before, some of my absolute favorite projects this year have been from working on this team. So it was impossible for me to pick just one. Here's a handful of my favorites:
Lots of layouts, cards, December Daily pages, altered projects to choose from and frankly it was difficult to pair it down to just these. But this is definitely my top 6. I've LOVED being on this team and working with these products. In fact so much so, that in my workshop for Two Peas in a Bucket, I used a TON of American Crafts products, just because I loved it so much!
So now that we have waxed poetic about the past, I actually have a few new projects for you to take a look at. First up is a layout using Shoreline (one of my latest favorites) along with Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook - my absolute favorite collection from this past year.
The next couple projects are Thank You cards that will be making their way into the hands of a couple special people very soon. The first is using very close second favorite collection from this past year, the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection.
This card is going directly to the folks at American Crafts for their support and believing in my abilities to represent their company. I truly thank them for this amazing opportunity. I've loved every minute of it!
This next card, is all about color and funky-fresh fun. And this Thank You card is going to Miss Paige Evans. I owe this lovely woman a debt of gratitude for everything she's done for me over the past several years. I still remember the first time she featured one of my card on the Cards blog about 3 years ago. And I don't think she'll every know how much that meant to me and the confidence boost that gave me to continue on this journey in which our paths have crossed several times.
To me this card, is one of my favorites, and she and I both have a bright and funky side to us, that I think she'll appreciate in this card I made especially for her! Using the bits that I have left from my Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection, along with the fun tiny alpha stickers from the Shoreline collection, this card is now one of my favorites and I can't wait to send it out to Paige this week! :)
To end things up on a fun note, I'm giving away a package of some of my unopend pieces from my American Crafts stash.
All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post by Wednesday, September 5th, midnight ET for your chance to win these fun products!
Well, friends, that's going to do it for me today! I can't wait to see what the rest of our team has put together for you! Thank you so much to American Crafts for this fabulous year! Your next stop on the hop is the insanely talented Miss Shimelle Laine!
