American Crafts :: DayBooks + Vacation

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! I'm finally back and feeling more settled since returning from vacation night before last. I'm now just trying to get caught up and wanted to share something that was featured over at the American Crafts blog this week, my Sew Fun DayBook from the Amy Tangerine DayBook collection.

AC_Cover_AHI decided to use mine for keeping a visual journal of my adventures in sewing and fiber crafts such as knitting and hopefully crocheting someday. Amy's collection is perfect for creating projects such as this, that are ongoing (and, for me, are often overlooked in everyday scrapping projects, because my main subjects are usually my kids)! :D

AC_insideCover_AHOne of my favorite features of these books, is the acetate wrap on the front cover. It's super cool and also allows protection from whatever you decide to scrap on the inside of the front cover. Here, I've done a little on the outside cover as well as the inside of the wrap.

The other thing that is GREAT about these albums, is that every page is different, envelopes and smaller dimension sheets are included and each book comes with it's own set of stickers - many with alpha stickers for on the go scrapping!

I used lots of Amy's product embellishments and Thickers to adorn my pages, especially those surrounding just my journaling.

Some pages like this, I've featured some photos of things I normally wouldn't think to scrap, like my bowl full of go-to threads, and my sewing basket. Both are extremely important in my daily scrapping, but I likely wouldn't feature them on a normal scrapbook page - but these books are ideal for giving subjects like this a fitting home. :)

I even included a pocket page where I used journaling cards and tags, for notes on what projects I'd like to include in my repetoire in the future!. I just love how Amy and the AC team have thought all these little things through and provided everything in order to create a quick, easy and complete mini album without all the time and fuss that can be involved. It was the perfect answer for me, and a subject that I likely never would have documented before, and I love that!

Since, I've not yet downloaded most of my photos from vacation, I'm going to share those over the weekend, when I have a little more time. There should be some fun ones! I hope to see you then!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful Friday! :D
