Hi everyone! I thought I would share with you a page I created for this weeks' Garden Seeds at Two Peas In a Bucket. It's one I created several weeks ago prior to going on this past vacation that we just arrived back from last night. So at the time, I was still thinking about full-on winter. But that's okay, right, because when we arrived back home from 9 days in the tropics, we came back to what? Yep - snow! :D So it all worked out nicely. :)This is a layout that is near to my heart, because, as I've mentioned before it's about one of those little life lessons I try to teach my daughter, in particular, about just enjoying the moment and not letting things get under her skin, which at times can prove difficult for her.
I used my new Silhouette Cameo to cut out the words for my title "Keep Calm and Sled On", using the font Gills Sans, a la the "Keep Calm And Carry On" WWI posters that have become sooo popular the past couple years.
I misted the top layer that I had initially cut, slightly and then backed it with a second layer of white card stock to further provide the wintery feel from the sledding photos.Along with my Silhouette, I also used lots of goodies from My Minds Eye, October Afternoon, Prima and Crate Paper, along with the fabulous new tab punch from Jenni Bowlin.
While I have you here, have you heard about the new teaching line up at Two Peas in a Bucket? We've added WORKSHOPS into the mix to provide you with more extensive, in-depth insight, inspiration and skill building to add to your scrapping repetoire! The first workshop is taught by our very own Glitter Girl herself, Shimelle Laine, called The HItchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking.
Are you drowning in a sea of scrapbook supplies and a plethora of photos, but wish things just came together easily? Then The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking is just what you need: your guide to life, the universe and pretty paper! Join Garden Girl Shimelle Laine for this self-paced workshop you can use any time. Over five chapters, she'll share forty-two brand new scrapbook pages and easy-to-follow advice on choosing supplies, designing pages, embellishing your work and writing your memories. Each chapter includes a printable PDF and coordinating video, plus the guide's bonus reference section includes sketches, supply lists and other handy hints. Designed for scrapping at home or at a crop, The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking reminds you: Don't Panic - get crafting!
How fantastic is that? I am SUPER excited about this new feature and hope you are too!
Well, that's going to wrap it up here for me today! I'll be back tomorrow with some fun photos from our vacation - I took over 1400, so there will be PLENTY of scrappy fun in the future here for me and lots to share! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!
