Hi everyone! Today I'm bringing you a fun wreath I made out of paper, and fabric paper all by American Crafts recent collections. All week long the DT has lots of ideas on creating wreaths for your home using the delightful patterns and colors from American Crafts.
I really wanted my wreath to be something that I had up in my house, so I used all neutrals - the tones of my home decor. I added texture I used fabric paper from Amy Tangerine's first collection. I simply constructed this piece from strips and scraps of paper trimmed to varying widths, a foam wreath base and straight pins to attatch the paper to the back of the wreath form. It was SUPER easy, tons of fun and very little mess, which I loved!
The "H" was a piece I picked up months ago from the Michael's $1 bins. I simply covered it in American Crafts cardstock, sanded the edges, then wrapped the "H" with coordinating AC grosgrain ribbon to give it even more added texture and dimension. Voila. I don't normally decorate with my altered items in my living spaces, but I really like how this turned out with it's modern feel, so I have it displayed on a shelf in our living room and it works perfectly with our decor.
So, have you seen the sneaks from the new Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine collections by American Crafts? If not, make sure you go check out the blog hops (that start at the AC blog) to check them out and have a chance at winning the entire collections! Wow!! They are so gorgeous, you won't want to miss it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
