American Crafts :: Nightfall Wreath Tutorial

AC_Nightfall_Wreath_AHHappy Thursday everyone! And happy FALL! Seems like the "real" fall weather has really been settling in here in Connecticut. Each morning more and more of the trees' leaves have turned to a brighter shade of red, orange and yellow from green. This time of the year really is so beautiful here, and it's really what ultimately inspired my recent tutorial for the American Crafts blog on how to create this fun origami leaf wreath. LeafDetail_AH
A couple weeks back I found these awesome origami leaves on Pinterest, and quickly looked into how to make them, here. It was so easy, I thought they'd be perfect for creating a fall wreath with Nightfall. The colors are just perfect for a project like this, so I went for it!BowDetail_AH
In addition to the leaves, I added stitching (you know I had to do that!), a couple of big ole' bows and a fun card that hangs down from the bottom of the wreath.CardDetail_AHMakes for one festive home decor item! I'm not one to decorate with a lot of altered items in my home, but I do love a cool wreath or banner for seasonal holidays, and this fits the bill! In fact, my husband even told me how "cool" it was because the leaves "looked like real leaves". LOL Gotta leave it to the hubs to state the obvious! :D

Well, that does it for me today. I'm working on a bunch of stuff that you'll be seeing next week, including a couple really fun announcements! I'm looking forward to sharing, but for now it's back to work! :D Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! :D
