Today on the October Afternoon blog we are presenting some last minute ideas on creating special cards and gifts for Dads for this coming Sunday. Here's a peak at what I created:
I also thought I'd show you, in full a couple other October Afternoon projects from this weekend's hop, since I wasn't able to show you everything as it was such a huge post to begin with!
Another Father's Day inspired card, using Campfire as my background quilting. I think this would be a super Father's Day card for that first-time Father-to-Be. I have all the details on which products I used linked up here. Then next up is my end of year teacher's albums that I created for my son's teachers. I LOVE creating for my kids' teachers. They are always so appreciative - and they so often don't get the appreciation they deserve. So, I love ending the year by giving them something special from their class, especially when they're really young still.
I only used one apple album to create these two albums! Since the album comes with 4 pieces of chipboard, I used those for the cover and back covers of both my albums! :DHere, the little girl didn't do her drawing on the apple, rather on a separate sheet of paper for the teachers, so I simply added a cute envelope to the page to hold her drawing. Problem solved!
This was such a fun project to create and really a fairly simple one, as there wasn't a lot of embellishing. I tried to make it as easy as possible to mass produce each page for each of the 10 children. I've done these type of albums in the past, but this one is my favorite by far! It turned out so fun! I have all the products I used linked up here if you'd like to see. :)
Well, that does it for me today! I hope that you come back Friday, as I have some really fun news to share! ;D I'm looking forward to a nice warm day today versus the cold and monsoon like rain we had here yesterday! Oh, well, my plants loved it! Have a wonderful day!
