Okay, I know it's late. But you know what they say, 'better late than never', right? I finally got the chance to sit down and finish my little mini that I created for this post for Crate Paper. It could have been perfectly fine and finished the way it was, but I really wanted to add more to it to make it really special for my special girl.
Today I'm going to focus on the first half of my mini and tomorrow I'll bring you the 2nd half. It ended up being 22 pages not including the front or back cover, so it's very photo heavy. But you know what that means - lots for me to show you! So let's get started! There were a few pages that remained pretty much the same as the original, such as the cover and a couple of the photo pages. One of the biggest changes was in the embellishments and the addition of some transparencies from Hambly. I really love adding transparency pages to my minis. It adds texture, and variation to the pages. I also love how the accent cuts in my mini are two different widths, this also provides visual interest. I also added tag pockets (seen above) and embellished it with brads from Crate's Emma's Shoppe (fabric) Pink Plum and Paper Doll (glossy) collections.
I also found that the new tags from Elle's Studio are perfection with Emma's Shoppe, so I used those a lot in this little mini. I also used the wooden letters from Pink Paislee's Daily Junque - they are awesome. Everything else is from Crate Paper's, Emma's Shoppe - with the majority of the book composed simply of Accent Cuts - talk about a very inexpensive way of creating a special mini album! I LOVE these for this purpose!!
I hope you've enjoyed this half of my mini! I can't wait to show you the rest tomorrow! It's going to be fun - I really love how it turned out, and hope you do too! I have to jet right now, I've got my kids and their cousins here running amok upstairs! Have a wonderful Thursday!
