1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 - that's how many individual years I've been a parent now. It's quickly creeping up on 9, now already. With each of those years there's been new wonderful things to have happened in my life as a result of being a Mommy. Some things were wonderful, some challenging, some flat out difficult, but with each of those years I've grown, as have they and I wouldn't change a single thing, because I am a stronger person than I ever imagined from having these two wonderful kids. They are the center of my world, the heart of my universe and the joy that puts a smile on my face daily. I love them so much.
I'm not one to scrap with frilly roses and delicate intircacies typically. But these papers and embellishments from this month's Little Black Dress kit club brought out the "lovely" in me a little. When I opened this kit, one piece I was immediately drawn to was this gorgeous flower on one of the die cut "what nots" from Glitz Design. It is knock-my-socks-off beautiful. The way the orange and the pink blend into one another. I knew I wanted it as a focal point in one of my layouts.
So it was with this photo of my kids recently tangled in the limbs of a magnolia tree in our yard that I decided "lovely" was the way to go. I embraced "lovely" and created a layout that I wouldn't typically call something I'd normally create, but I love it. That is what I love about these kits, they always stretch my creativity in unexpected ways. This is my last layout as a design team member for the Little Black Dress kit club and I couldn't be more pleased with it. It's lovely, just as these kits are - always. I have one last project with my April kit before I sign off with LBD, and when I do, I'll share some of my favorite projects that I've created with their gorgeous kits. I hope you'll join me for that. Have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks so much for stopping by! ;)
