I've been getting very sentimental about our dog recently. I think because we lost our first kitty last August after 12 years, it's getting more and more evident that our "Good Boy", Cody is aging. He's 10 years old now, and in the past year, he's been starting to show his age - and it breaks my heart. I brought him home on my lap when I found him outside a grocery store, huddled in the corner of a cardboard box. We instantly connected, and he's been part of our family since then. He's such a good dog. He's great with the kids and loves us all so much. I have pictures of him sleeping outside of my daughter's bedroom when she was a baby, like he knew she was part of his family now, too. So cute. I've been indulging him all winter, because he wasn't able to go outside much at all - which was so hard for him. Giving him bits of cheese and leftover fish sticks from the kids. We never gave him table scraps before, I just feel like now in his golden time, he should be babied a little more. :)
For my layout, I really loved the masculine feel of the new My Mind's Eye, Stella Rose-Hattie, line.I actually bought most of it for scrapping my little man, but when I got them home, I loved how the warmth of the yellows felt with my Cody's coat. Then I decided to add a touch of whimsy to it by adding some pet-appeal with Max & Whiskers from Basic Grey - such a great pet inspired collection, that really works well with this new My Mind's Eye. I like them so much, that I think I'm going to make a mini about Cody with these two collections. :)
Well, friends, I just found out that I've got some things I need to get done this afternoon, so with that, I'll see you tomorrow! ;) Have a wonderful day!
