The March kit, Black Tie Love Affair, is available now at the Little Black Dress Kit Club! It's a gorgeous, chic and sophisticated palette perfectly suited for those important moments we all want to remember.
Take a look at this kit - it's gorgeous! Filled with My Mind's Eye, Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology, Crate Paper, Cosmo Cricket and Glitz Design, this kit is a spectacular array of uber sophistication. I loved working with this kit. It had limitless possibilities and I was exciting to do some scrapping of some subjects I had put off for some time. This first layout I created is a memorial layout for our kitty, Kailah who passed tragically last August. After 13 years as our companion and family member it was difficult to think how I would capture her spirit. This kit was perfect for that. Our "life has changed" (as I documented on the layout under the gorgeous black ribbon) but I also wanted to capture the tremendous love she brought to our lives. I did that by using one of the cards included in the kit to write my journaling on the back of. The cards included in the kit are one sided, so they are perfect for doubling as journaling cards.
On a lighter note, I wanted to use the kit to showcase some camera photos that I took of my daughter and me having our special "Girly Time" getting pedicures. It's not an all the time ritual, but maybe twice a year I'll take my daughter to get her toes done up all cute and she LOVES it! Her favorite part is getting to soak her feet while sitting in a big chair. Fun, girly stuff! On this layout I added a little bit of my own red bling to the page, but it easily could have been left without as well. While you are checking out the blog over at the Little Black Dress Kit Club, make sure you start subscribing to their new YouTube channel! Here you'll see layouts put together right before your eyes as the girls demonstrated their layouts for each of the kits! It's a great and unique feature the ladies have whipped up this past month!
Today I'm getting a bunch of stuff ready for the coming days, and weeks here in the studio so there will be some fun had for sure, that is if we don't get flooded or blown away. It's been nasty outside the past 24 hours - TONS of rain. Good for melting snow which STILL resides in our yard, but not good for the roads, many are closed at lower elevations. And the wind - wooo- it's windy out! Anyhoo! Such is the life of a New Englander - LOL! Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by! ;)
