Crate Paper :: Portrait Card

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope it's started out relaxing for you! Mine's been a slow rise to get here. Still haven't finished my first coffee of the day yet. But I'm getting there. ;)

I thought I'd share a card I made for Crate Paper a little bit ago. I used some of my favorite papers from the new Portrait Collection. This decorative woodgrain is one that I've been drawn to from the very first time I laid eyes on it! It's another one of those designs I wish I could wallpaper with! I love it's whimsical flair coupled with the uber trendy woodgrain. LOVE.IT! I have big plans to use it again in the near future.

One of the great things about the Portrait Collection, is that while it's traditional use is gear towards a formal gathering/wedding, it is also a very versatile collection. Here I created a Thank You card with every bit (except the twine and pearls) from the Portrait Collection. You can easily use this collection to create any type of layout or card that suits your fanciful fancy! It is very casual sophisticated, which I love. Too much formality is not for me, and I LOVE that about this collection!

Products have already started shipping and I've heard a few people say they've already started ordering their Crate Paper goodies online, so make sure you are on the lookout! I'm quite certain they will be selling out of all the faves in quick time! Also, right now, at the Crate Blog, Lucy has a Color Challenge going on. You have till the 11th to submit!! Make sure you check it out!

Lastly, I'll leave you with my husband and my all time favorite band. There are a gazillion videos of Mr. Dave Matthews on You Tube, but this one is nice and clear and if you've never been exposed to seeing this man in concert this gives you a bit of a sneak of the pure awesomeness and magic that he brings forth on stage. It does make me laugh that he has a tie on, because he usually is in jeans and a wrinkled up shirt, but it is the Grammy's I suppose. LOVE.

Have a wonderful weekend!
