Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! Today I have a few fun crafty things to share with you. I spent much of the weekend, getting fully back into the groove in my crafty space. It felt GREAT! I had a chance to play with the beautiful new kit from the Little Black Dress Kit Club for February, called Patterns of Class. Full of vibrant colors and fantastic new product from Crate Paper, Cosmo Cricket, Studio Calico, Glitz Design and Pink Paislee, this kit is FULL of colorful opportunities! Today I'm sharing my first two layouts that I completed with this gorgeous kit and tomorrow I'll bring you two more.

Since it's Valentine's Day I wanted to dedicate this post, with one layout for each of my adorable kids. The first (above) is called U Color My World, for my sweet daughter. I LOVE the rainbow of color that I found in this kit and knew I wanted to create a ka-pow type rainbow layout with it. I am really excited with how it turned out. It really is "so" my little girl. She's all about color - vibrant and bright. ColorMyWOrldDetailGridNext up is my layout of my son. He's FULL of personality. I'm certain he's going to be the class clown! So the papers in this kit were perfect for showcasing that silly guy I love so much. I love all these photos of him and his many animated looks. He has "Personality in Spades" that is for sure!PersonalityinSpeades_AHOne of my favorite papers (maybe of all time) is in this kit. The woodgrain from Crate Paper's Restoration collection. LOVE it! Then pairing it with the grid from Pink Paislee/House of 3's Anthology Collection and again, Crate Paper's "lace" paper (the one with the cards), well it equals neutral perfection! I really wanted to add a POP of personality to the page, so I included the vivid yellows which are also showcased in this kit - gorgeous. It's one of my favorite color ways currently - it's so chic! And even though I placed butterflies, birds, hearts and even some "frilly" ribbon, it doesn't feel the least bit un-boyish. I really love how it turned out.Personality_DetailGridThese are some of my favorite pages that I've made with the Little Black Dress kits thus far - the kits just seem to be getting better and better!! I'm so inspired with the mix of vibrant color and vintage elements. They really stretch me in ways that I am really happy about.

Before I leave today, I thought I'd share the other thing I worked on this weekend. Valentine's for the kids' class celebrations. I didn't have a lot of time to make hand crafted ones this year. But I was very inspired by many of these cute cards I saw people making out in blogland and around the internet - with pictures of their kids. WOW, I thought, I can totally do that. And - man, why didn't I think about that before? Genius! Well, here's how they turned out:
Valentines
The idea is you put a lollipop in their hand and it TOTALLY looks like they are handing it to the recipient! Totally cute. Sorry I don't have photos of them with the lolli's - I'll take a couple in the morning and upload them for you to see. They're super cute! And the kids LOVE them. I think they love the idea that their picture is on them! Te he!

Well, friends. That does it for me today. I am T.I.R.E.D. and need to get a few zzzzz's before the hectic day begins (I'm writing this last night). My printer ran out of ink on the last page of my daughter's cards and I have yet to print out, cut and insert lollipops into my son's Valentine's. It will surely be a busy morning. Then, preparing for our Valentine's 'breakfast for dinner' - with red, heart shaped pancakes, pink milk strawberries, veggie sausages in the shape of hearts. It's going to be a yummy Valentine's! But I still have lots to do, before I can actually, you know, enjoy it! Ha! Have a wonderful love-filled day!! ;)
