I just love that saying! A good friend and I always used to say "What's up, buttercup?" to each other, so now I love saying this to my kids too! Last Valentine's Day my Mom sent the kids these fabulously silly lip-lollipops. They were so hilarious! The kids loved them and they were so goofy and silly-acting in them, that I wasn't able to get a great picture of all their antics. But I was able to get one shot of them semi-posing, albeit very far away from each other, so I decided to take apart the photo and create two tight images of them all puckered up for this page.
The papers and embellishments in the January kit, Sweet Bravery, from the Little Black Dress Kit Club were perfect for my Valentine-feeling page. All the pinks and browns were gorgeous in creating a focus on my photos. I used a couple other things like my favorite twine, a border punch and a butterfly punch to add a little more shape to my page. And for my photos, I used the negative space from some recent heart die cuts I'd made using my nesties to create the frames - again adding that Valentine feel with the hearts.
I'm crazy for the colors in this kit - and that glitter trim is just outstanding! Probably because I am such a sucker for teal, turquoise, blue when it comes to my pages. I just LOVE the Basic Grey, the Pink Paislee and October Afternoon together. It's just sublime!
I have one more project to share with you later in the week from this fabulous kit, so keep your eyes peeled for that one. Tomorrow I'm bringing you a layout for SRM Stickers with some fun papers from Webster Pages, the Girls' Paperie, Crate Paper and Elle's Studio. That's a super fun one! Can't wait to share!
Have a wonderful Monday, and Happy Martin Luther King Day!
Let's be reminded - to serve to help others. Have a wonderful day!
