Today I'm bring you my third layout created with the Little Black Dress Kit Club's January Kit, Sweet Bravery. I'm really loving this layout, partly because of the remarkably rare photo I was able to catch of my kids hugging each other tenderly, but also because the elements of this layout came together so nicely and unexpectedly for me. I do love it when you think you are headed in one direction with a layout then it suddenly does a 180 and goes in a completely different direction and ends up better than expected. This is what I feel about this layout.
Really, what it's about is this split-second moment, before they began tackling each other - "This is What It's All About" for me as a Mom. I loved the ATC from Melody Ross that says Breathe in and Out - it was perfect for what I wanted this layout to become - a reminder to me that this moment, although few and far between right now, is what it's all about. I am so blessed and with all the chaos that ensues in my home on a daily basis, this growing love between them as friends and siblings is what I'm striving for as their Mom. A happy, healthy family. I also knew this was a perfect layout for me, because of the pink 77 game piece included in my kit. I have 2 children and I am so very lucky for both - 2 sevens - seemed perfect. Don't you love the Basic Grey dimensional stickers - aren't they gorgeous? I just love them, too - a gorgeous addition to my page.
I thought I'd also share some photos I took yesterday of our snow that we got over the past couple days. All told we got at least 2 feet. And you can see why, here:
My little man is on top of a drift that was half it's size the day before. My husband is on the ground. He's 6'1" tall.
Here's our poor dog, Cody. He wanted to play so badly - he LOVES the snow. My husband made a path (which he's in) but he couldn't reach the collapsed ball I threw for him and he tried so hard to get it! LOL
Here's the new snow - yep. It's insane! And it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon. The kids are out of school today again, because the town spent so much of their day yesterday clearing the streets that they didn't get the opportunity to clear out the schools! But at least we can get out of our driveway now and the roads look pretty clear from what I can tell. The hubster went back to work today, so that's a good sign that the roads are back up and moving.
Anyhoo, I'll be working away today and playing in the snow no-doubt. Looks like it's going to be sunny and gorgeous, will make for some beautiful snow pics! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!! ;)
