LIttle Black Dress Projects :: January Kit + RSS Feed News

After many, MANY hours of snow, I think we are finally on the tail end of our Winter Storm "Benedict" here in Connecticut! We got so much snow, it's hard to tell exactly the amount, but let's just say, we are BURIED! There's at least a couple feet out there - so with last week's storm and last night's storm, I can safely say this is the largest accumulation of snow we've seen in the last six and a half years we've been here on the East Coast. Luckily, for now, we still have power. Let's just hope it stays that way and the plows will start their long job of getting us OUT! LOL

Today I'm bringing you my first two layouts I've created with the January kit from the Little Black Dress Kit Club, Sweet Bravery. This kit is packed to the brim with lovelies from Pink Paislee, Dear Lizzy, Melody Ross and Basic Grey, Webster Pages - all from the newest lines! And they are GORGEOUS together! I don't usually play with a lot of florals but this kit made me swoon with it's delicate mix of lace, gingham, floral all balancing so perfectly!PerfectlyNatural_DetailGrid

This first layout is of some images I've wanted to scrap for years. We have this magnolia tree in our back yard, that gets these gorgeous blooms in the spring and my daughter fondly calls it 'the climbing tree' because it really is perfect for the kids to get up in. She's such a nature-girl, that I really wanted to show how "Perfectly Natural" she is as a person and with nature, in her favorite tree.

Next up is the first layout I created with the kit. I FELL.IN.LOVE with this black lace paper from Basic Grey. It has a vintage - yet modern feel that I REALLY love. WIth all the other fun papers and images, I really wanted to do a whimsical dress-up page of my daughter when she was younger. The vintage addition card was the perfect addition (no pun intended) because she was 3 at the time - that's why I thought "So Sweet at 3" was a great name for this page.

Over the next couple days I'll be bringing you more of my finished projects with this gorgeous kit.
