Little Black Dress :: December Kit :: Day 1

Having a Ball - Photos from 2010
Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend! We had a great weekend, filled with holiday preparations. I also got some much needed crafting in, which was great! I still need to do a few more things for Christmas, but all in all things are wrapping up here nicely!
Today, I thought I would share some things that I've made for the Little Black Dress Kit Club's - December Kit - Sincerely Fond. I shared a couple peaks yesterday, but today I'm bringing you two full layotus I created using this fabulously cohesive and unique kit!! I REALLY love this kit!
In this layout I used the gorgeous Teresa Collins and October Afternoon  papers from the kit along with the Jenni Bowlin penant chipboard which, too, is all included it the kit. I LOVE the whimsical turquoise corrugate and fabulous trims that came with this kit. They work seamlessly and it really makes everything pop!!
This next layout is the one I mentioned yesterday, as one of my new favorites. It may have something to do with these "vintage" photos I've been going through that haven't before been scrapped. It was really before I did much scrapping at all, and these images have so many memories behind them. This one in particular. It's from our first winter in New England back in 2005, which happened to be when this area was hit with a blizzard. We hadn't experienced anything like it before, and for my daughter then 2, it was really great as well, and those major snows have become part of her life now over the years.
Snow Patrol - Photos from 2005
This kit includes some of the most gorgeous hues of blue and cream and grey, all of my faves. When I saw the paper doily and the gorgeous doily paper from October Afternoon, I new that snow would be the focus for at least one of my layouts. And those giant gems, please! They are sooo cool! LOVE them!
I used a lot of white space in this layout to create and emphasis on the serenity and quiet in the photo, and the experience. I never knew an urban area could be as quiet as a good deep snow can bring. It was something special for sure.
I know that I have interrupted the 12 Days of Christmas Cards with this post, but keep your eyes peeled it will be coming soon! Until then, I hope you check out the Little Black Dress Kit Club's blog and Facebook page out! They are going to be showing more and more from the Design Team in the coming days! And I'll be back with more to share later this week, too! Until then, have a WONDERFUL Monday! Thank you so much for stopping by today! ;)
