Crate Paper's Autumn Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Crate Paper Autumn Blog Hop! Today the CP Girls have a treat in store for you! We've all made tags that represent things that we are thankful for in our lives. This blog hop is a little untraditional, so make sure you go to the Crate Paper blog now to read all the details and directions for our hop - because there is a GAME involved (Note the letter in the right hand column)! Yep!
I have SO many things that I am thankful for. So just coming up with a single topic wasn't easy. And, I wanted to create something based on something other than my family, because of course, they are numero uno. Then to consolidate a singular idea onto a tag was a real challenge, at least it was for me.  So I decided to make a set of tags that I will use at a later time, on a layout most likely, that gives you an idea of one of the things that I am most thankful for. Art.

Art has been the one consistent and constant thing in my life since I can remember. It has always been my passion, my outlet, my source of freedom. In the most turbulent times in my life, I always turned to healing through my artwork, I knew it was the one thing that was entirely MINE. No one can ever take my ability to create my art away from me. So this is my little homage to my thankfulness for having art as my personal crutch, talent, whatever you want to call it! LOL.

For these tags, I took several differnet lines of Crate Paper and wove them to create a basketweave effect. I then took various font styles of bare chipboard and covered them in black glitter to help them "pop" off my tags. Dressed them up with some fabulous fabric brads, and voila - funky tags - and I love how they turned out.

So now that you've seen what I've created, make sure you download the letter from the right sidebar on my blog, and head back to the Crate Paper blog to see what you need to do next!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
