Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope your week is shaping up to be a great one! I've been busy, as per the norm with scrapping and kid duties. We've had some bumps in the road the last week as well - parenting stuff and family health emergency stuff - which has been a bit stressful, but all is well, thank goodness and we're able to take a breath now, which is nice. Just in time for Halloween right?! Our festivities begin tomorrow with my son's party in his classroom, then another on Friday which I am helping organize, so I'll be elbow deep in that come Thursday, that's for sure! I can't wait, though! :)
Today I'm bringing you a layout I made about a month ago of my kids (of course) using Crate Paper's Restoration Collection. I titled it My Everythings - mainly because there's a story behind it. My husband and I have always said to each other, even more than "I love you", "You are my everything, everything". It's just been our little phrase to one another. When I saw this precious, serene photo of my kids (serene is a rare sight with them - LOL) I knew I wanted to do a layout about how they are my everythings, as well. I couldn't wait to make a layout using Restoration - it's so perfect for the serenity in this photo.
I really wanted the focus to stay on the photo in my layout. So, I created a hidden journaling pocket out of a envelope tag. On the outside, I added border stickers and some border punching to it in order to create a seamless look.
I thought about putting another photo in this little chipboard frame, but I thought, again, that I wanted the focus on my photo, so I just lined it with a coordinating patterned paper also in the Restoration Collection, and I really like the result. I also added some gold striped washi tape, some home inspired trim, pearls and a paper butterfly to tie things together even more.
