This past weekend we took our annual visit to the pumpkin patch and got all of our Halloween decor out. So I thought I would share a little of what we did around the house and some of the things the kids did over this past weekend. They LOVE Halloween and we do too! The picture above is in our entryway. I just LOVE the vintage style Halloween black cats. They are so festive and cute at the same time. Adorable!
Then we have our mantel all decked out. One of my favorite parts are these giant furry spiders I found at Michael's a couple weeks ago. They are perfect nestled up on both corners of the mantel because they cover up the hooks I have my black beaded garland hanging from. Super cute and a wee big icky too!
I have all kinds of these bowls hanging around on various coffee tables, and I've never found the "just right" seasonal pumpkins to fill them with until this year - again, at Michael's. I bought a few different kinds and sizes and they are sprinkled throughout the house and I just love them. Plus they will be great to hang around through Thanksgiving! Gotta love that!
Lastly, we have several of these oversized spider webs in the house. A couple of them we put up in the kids' playroom and my daughter made these adorable spiders herself to inhabit our spider webs. She and my son also made these really cute paper towel ghosts and we bought some glow-in-the-dark paint and painted them and hung them in the playroom as well. I couldn't get a decent picture of them, but I'll keep trying. They are really cute and the kids' love to turn off all the lights at night and see the faint glow they let off. A bit disappointing in the glow department, but they love them nonetheless. I mentioned the pumpkin patch, too and I think I'll wait until next week to share some of those photos. :) I want to stretch Halloween out as much as possible! He, he! I love this time of the year, too!
Well, I hope you enjoyed a little sneak peak into how we decorate for Halloween. :) Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day! I will be back tomorrow and Friday with some fun craftiness to share!
