Halloween Cards & Layout :: Day 1

Hi everyone! I LOVE the fall and I especially LOVE Halloween! So, today I thought I'd bring you some spooky Halloween projects I made several months back but have held onto for when the timing seemed right. And since October starts this week, well, I think the timing is perfect!
The weather here feels oh, so Halloween-like to me because of the rain. Even though, thankfully, here in CT we always seem to have an extremely pleasant Halloween, cool and dry. But when I was growing up in WA, nearly EVERY Halloween was wet, wet, wet! Our costumes were always covered up by coats and umbrellas. We would trick-or-treat by car and not by walking from house to house because of the rain. LOL. Today the weather here seems very reminiscent of those days, very wet!
Here's a layout from my kids' trick or treating last year - I definitely thought they were "2 Cute 2 Be Scary". I used Pink Paislee, Basic Grey and some older My Mind's Eye for this layout and even threw in a few black butterflies along with my bats and I kind of like the result.

 Next up are several cards I made for Halloween.

I really love how this card turned out, although it is very difficult to see from the photo. Below is a close up. The cute sentiment is from SRM Stickers and I just love the cleverness of it. Makes me snicker with delight! :)

I used black glitter on the entire tree and in real life it really stands out. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see. The close up gives you a better view, a little.

I used many different product lines for these cards, including some perhaps unexpected ones . . . like here I used Sassafras Monstrosity. I colored in the cape from red to black, made a witch's hat and candy treat bag and suddenly you have a little trick or treater! I think he's super cute. The background of stickers are from SRM Stickers and they make a really cute statement along with the lil' monster. :)

I also tried something else a little different. I used a treat bag and sewed it on the front of a card base. I like the concept of this but I think it needs a little work. :)

Lastly for today, some fabulous SRM Stickers, cork, purple glitter and bling to make a really fun and wild Halloween card.
Seems like a lot of stuff! But as you can tell from my post title, there's more!! Tomorrow I will bring you even more Halloween goodies to take a peak at! Oh, and I found this adorable banner project yesterday, that I may try to replicate - its adorable!! Maybe even in paper - hmmmm, the cogs are turning, turning. For now, thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a spook-tacular Tuesday!
