Hi everyone! Finally some craftiness, I know! The funny thing, is these are some things that I made while I was on vacation! I just hadn't found the time to blog or write about them til now!
Because there is really nothing in the way of independent LSS in my area here where I live, I was in LSS heaven when I went back home this summer to WA state. In my hometown alone there were 4 independent LSS! Incredible! The first couple days, that is all I did - stalk out all the fun goodies, new and older, that I hadn't seen in person and scoop up what ever I could that I thought I would use during my stay. It was shortly after my Guest Design spot for Crate Paper that I happened upon a single (double sided) sheet of Crate Paper's Season Collection along with one package of coordinating chipboard. I was eager to get my hands on anything Crate that I could, still on my GD "high". So, I brought the lonely sheet of paper home along with the chipboard and chellenged myself to come up with as much as I could using just those things plus some cardstock and minimal extras. This is what I came up with. A layout and four cards! Throw in a couple pieces of coordinating Bazzill cardstock sheets and some fabric strips from Studio Calico, a sewing machine, some ribbon, some AC Thickers and voila!
I had so much fun making these pieces!! Mainly because I was doing them all for fun, and challenging myself with really bare bones in the way of crafting materials/tools on hand. I only brought a couple punches with me. So I was really happy with what I came up with under the circumstances. By the end of my stay, I was feeling that my projects were feeling really "flat" just because of my lack of tools left behind in my craft area at home, but I think all in all, it didn't hinder my process. In fact, I think it made me challenge myself to work quicker and more efficiently. That's always a good thing, right?!
Just a reminder you have until the end of the day tomorrow to leave a comment for my 1st Year Blog-o-versary g.i.v.e.a.w.a.y (see post below or click here)! Winner(s) will be announced this weekend! Good luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful remainder to your week!! :D
