Little Black Dress :: August Kit:: Homespun Sunshine!

Today's the big reveal for the Little Black Dress Kit Club! August's kit is called Homespun Sunshine and it is GORGEOUS!! (Click here for all the juicy details included.) Luscious, rich and full of details!! This month I had SO much stuff left over from my 4 layouts and 1 card that I made, I probably could have made another 2 layouts! I made these while I was still at my Mom's home in WA, with limited supplies, but as you will see, I really didn't need all my punches to get it done. There's plenty included to make a really impacting layout or card! So, without further adieu, here's what I made from this lovely kit!!

One of my FAVORITE elements of this kit is the fabric letters from Prima, that include adhesive pearls AND clear gems. I LOVED this!! 3-products in one package, gotta love that!! Plus the epoxy button stickers from Melody Ross - gorgeous! Oh, and can you believe this kit comes with a wax sealing kit!? Yep! I used it on my "If I Could, I Would Grow Roses (Like Mom's)" layout above in the bottom right corner. Fun, fun! Make sure you stop by the Little Black Dress blog in the coming days for tutorials from some of the DT members on their projects from this month! You won't want to miss that!

So, I am putting together my CHA post and my vacation post that I will be putting up later this week. Too many pictures and so much to say! I can't wait! I still haven't unpacked my suitcase full of my newly acquired scrapbooking goodies - yikes - where am I going to put it all?? Perhaps a giveaway might be in order ..... hmmmm? Hint, hint!! I am also trying to pull together some ideas on another portion of my blog that I think I am going to reveal in the next couple weeks as well. This portion will be on a more personal note, so it's kind of a big deal to me, since I am a pretty private person by nature. I'll reveal more as I work through the details on my thought process of that too over the next couple weeks. Lastly, I am going to give you a heads-up: I am going to be moving my blog to a new address. I am in the beginning process, so it's nothing immediate, but I thought it would be good to let you know well in advance, so it isn't a surprise when it's ready. I think the new provider will be able to handle the type of layout and functionality that I find difficult and time consuming to maintain in it's current format.

That about covers it! I hope you are having a terrific weekend and enjoying the sunshine hopefully! It's August - ack! that means it's almost fall?! Where has the time gone!? Oh, well! Thanks for stopping by today!! :D
