Crate Paper :: Brook Collection Accordion Book

So today, I am so excited to show you what I worked on several weeks ago using (one of my) FAVORITE Crate Paper Lines, the Brook Collection. I say "one of my" favorite lines, because well, have you seen the NEW Crate collections? Restoration, School Spirit, and Snow Days!? C'mon!! They are nothing short of FANTASTIC, all of them!! If you haven't seen them, go to the Crate Paper blog now and check them out!!
So this is what I came up with, with a blank Martha Stewart accordion album I've had for a while and the Brook Collection. I made a mini album for my kids, giving them little notes of wisdom and leaving an envelope for each of them where I have a letter written especially for each one. I LOVED making this album and I really love how it turned out. I hope you enjoy taking a peek at it too! :)

One little thing, I found in making this. When making an accordion book like this, to create a seamless look in the center binding, I found that covering the center in binding tape (for sewing) works FABULOUSLY. There's a variety of colors and this stuff is DURABLE, so turning the pages many times won't wrinkle or gap like ribbon did for me. Plus when you trim it, it doesn't fray, which is perfect for something that you want look at for years to come!!
I am so looking forward to using my other new lines from Crate similarly! The new collections are just as fabulous! The colors - yummy! The textures - sensational! The versatility - OUTSTANDING!! I'm looking forward to sharing it all with you soon!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a fabulous Friday!!
