Happy weekend, everyone! I've had this an idea for a while - to make flash cards, mini albums, flip books (not sure really what to call them) to help my kids become more independent. Both love their Mommy so much that sometimes I forget that I need them to do more stuff for themselves! LOL. That would help them and ME! So, I thought a fun way of doing this would be to make some visuals for them, so that they can make more decisions on their own - for instance, picking out their own clothes. My daughter who's almost 8 still likes for me to pick out her clothes, and my son who will be 4 in a couple weeks is just a little sponge - so inquisitive right now, so I thought this would be perfect for both of them! So while looking at my stamps from My Cute Stamps, I thought, bingo! I'll make a mini weather flip book to help my kids decide what types of clothes to pick out for the day. So this is what I came up with!
I used large Avery mailing tags for the base of the flip cards and used a left over metal clasp from a set of Maya Road chipboard, stamped away and voila!! (I know they are shot all differently, I just couldn't get them shot all the same easily for some reason. You get the idea! :))
The stamps I used for this little book were all from My Cute Stamps and consisted of:
My Cute Stamps - Jellybeans (I used the bird on "showers" pg)
My Cute Stamps - Spunky Nature (I used the bee, flower stems, snail)
I had a lot of fun making this project today! Something different and fun! Well I hope the rest of your weekend is super! Don't forget to come back on Monday for my super duper surprise that I am so excited about! :) Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
