Schlosser Designs & a Caardvarks Challenge

Yesterday it was hello, and today it's "Hi". How are you today? Great, I hope! Today I'm bringing you a fun and textural and monochromatic card featuring Schlosser Designs stamp set - Outside the Box. I put my own spin on these fab CAS circles by cutting each out differently and adhering them in two tones, some popped up and some flat on the card. Then I finished them off with the tiniest little brown pearl in the center.
I made this card monochromatic for the current challenge over at Caardvarks which is all about a monochromatic scheme. I really love monochromatic schemes, because it forces you to look at texture, dimension, value and pattern to fill your design rather than color. I used all sorts of texture, from twine to the glossy finish on the letters, to the sanded Core'dinations - Core Impressions/Cosmo Cricket cardstock and the sewing detail. I chose subtle patterns and stamped directly on my patterned paper, to make the whole thing appear seamless. If you haven't already, definitely head over to the Caardvarks Challenge Blog and give this challenge a go! The prize for the winner - a 3 month Guest DT spot on the Core'dinations Design Team! WOW!
Well that's it for today everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!!
