Free hugs are great aren't they? The best hugs I get are from my kids. I love the way my 3 year old is starting to use my mantra on me that I say to him all the time - "You know what?" "What?" "I love you (Mommy!)" - followed up by a great big hug. It's so cute!
Here's another little card I came up with this morning fully using scraps. What do you think of those little flowers? I learned how to make them yesterday with the great tutorial found here. I love that they aren't too frilly, they use paper and they are graphic. I have another version that I am working on today that I'll be able to show you soon.
I have been working feverishly to get in items for publications calls. This is my first time really going for it. I think I have entered 4 or 5 layouts, then around the same number of cards so far. I am continuing to work all weekend on card publication calls. So we'll see. :)
Do you listen to music while you scrap? I do! It's my refuge! I get to listen to my music vs. the kids' which is always on in the car or at home. Lately I've been listening to the new John Mayer, Joshua Radin, and Ingrid Michaelson oh, and a little Pink. I have to say, I LOVE John Mayer, but I really can't stand his public image the past few years, so I am conflicted! Ha! I try to listen to his music and ignore my image of his personal life - he sure is talented! Okay I'm off my soapbox now! :)
ANYHOO! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!!
