Restrained Joy

Here's something I find myself having difficulty with, and honestly much of the time, I shun in the name of creativity and trying to think outside the box with my cards - restraint! Editing. In my professional designer life, I have very clean aesthetic approach - less is more in my book. But when it comes to my cards and scrapbooking I love to layer, add dimension, with texture and color. But with this card, as I looked at it, I loved the restraint that I was exercising - {pat self on the back}.  I TRIED to look at adding more elements, and they just weren't working. So I said, "It's done" and walked away.

{Window Card}
I love the idea of the window in this card. It was so easy, too. I thought it would be tricky, being that it was a tri-fold card. But really, the only trick was to use removable scrapbooking tape to position my die in the spot I wanted to cut out (with my Cuttlebug) and only on the panel of the card that I wanted. So, I laid the card out flat for that. Cinch!

Thanks for looking! Hope you are having a joyous day!
