Oh, boy. Yesterday, was an entire day of technique experimentation (and frustration). My ideas were not coming to fruition as I had intended, whatsoever. But, in the end I figured out what I needed to do and ran with it. So I guess with experimentation and failure come wisdom, right? But I am glad I went through everything yesterday, because now, I learned a few things and I have at least one fun card from it.
This is what I learned:
1) don't try to sew down items that have gummy adhesive on them, like glue dots - big no, no!
2) rufflles and gathering are two different textures completely
3) sewing on a machine takes practice, and patience - there's a lot of mechanical things that can get hung up
4) stick with your instinct
5) moms are sometimes right
6) moms are sometimes wrong
7) again, stick with your instinct
From the launch of the Moxie Fab World - Not Your Regular Ruffles Challenge, I knew I wanted to do this rainbow. I wanted lots of color and I wanted the ruffles to be the main focal point of my card. I am really liking how it turned out!
Hope you are having a great weekend, and that it's nice and sunny in your neck of the woods!
