WoooHooo - this week I am the guest designer for Card Patterns! Below is an image of this week's sketch! The sponsor for this week's sketch is Sherrod Studio - check it out!
My card was inspired (and made for) my Mother-in-law and her husband. They are arriving today to stay with us a few days here in Connecticut after a 3 month long bicycle adventure across the entire country - from Washington state, where we are from. Amazing! I wanted to congratulate them on their major accomplishment. They have ridden over 4500 miles - unbelievable!! They took the scenic route along the way - but it wasn't all fun and magical. They camped in a small tent each night the entire time, except for the very roughest of weather conditions, and only took 1 day off a week from riding. They carried their entire 3 months' worth of supplies with them and only had themselves to rely on - no car following them. It was an awe-inspiring journey. I am excited to hear all about their adventure in person versus the sporadic emails or Facebook status updates we would get along the way. (Oh, and they are avid NY Times Crossword junkies, so that is where the letters were inspired from!)
And with that, this is my take on Sketch #30. I rotated the layout and used the strip down the side as the road for the bikes. Enjoy!
